The average for this movie is 1.6, by the way.
Perhaps I’m feeling generous today, but I think this is a hidden gem of a horror. Very psychologically startling, with a few sudden impact scenes that could be described as tasteless, but I thought elevated the plot and showed how sickening ‘The Farm’ is.
Falters in terms of acting, especially in the beginning, but for an 80-minute movie, delivers well enough. Very reminiscent of movies like ‘Hostel’, Midsommar’ and even underlying themes in ‘Animal Farm’. Could have pushed the boundaries even more, and expanded on its story, but it’s low-budget, so not too fussed.
Thanks for a decent pick, Holly.
