could’ve been a look into trauma and recovery and anger and revenge but instead it was just awful

i saw the remake, which somehow managed to make the rape more brutal than this one in its own way; obviously despised the first half, liked the second. i hate these movies they make me sick i only subject myself to them for the revenge. yes they’re well made, yes the revenge is good. it’s amazing in the remake. i could do such a deep analysis on these movies. but anyway. a woman’s empowerment shouldn’t be based on trauma from men. a woman should be empowered just by being herself. stop reducing women in media (and the world) to accessories of men. we don’t need em. women are people. and the best kind at that. i despise men. i do not trust men. men are incapable of love. men are incapable of being good people. men are incapable of loyalty.
