Anne, a brilliant and dedicated advocacy lawyer specialising in society’s most vulnerable, children and young adults, lives what appears to be the picture-perfect life with her doctor-husband, Peter, and their twin daughters. Uma história curiosa e um tanto cativante até certo ponto, mas a falta de um clímax e de um senso de justiça no final deixou-me meio desapontado. Acredito que isso foi uma escolha intencional da autora, talvez justamente pra provocar esse desconforto, porque o filme começa numa atmosfera íntima que vai te envolvendo de um jeito muito bom, mas quando menos esperas ele vai pra um lado totalmente pesado e desconfortável.

Of course this Scandinavian film had to be fucked up. But what makes it brilliant is how psychological it is. The repression, the desire, the denial. It’s all there, simmering just beneath the perfectly manicured surface. It’s Jungian to its core. When the shadow takes over, it doesn’t look evil. It looks reasonable. Jung would have had a field day with this. What a great character study. I love it!

Habe wohl irgendeine geschnitte Version gesehen, da einige Szenen nicht im Film waren, von denen ich jetzt anschließend Bilder gesehen habe. Sehr schade, aber es war trotzdem heftig und bedrückend.
