де серп і молот – там смерть і голод (english ⬇️)

Будинок «Слово», це ніби шрам на бетонному серці Харкова. Шрам, заліплений пластирами з утеплень для нових квартир заставлених сучасними меблями. Не уявляю як там можливо жити зараз, адже стіни, стелі й сходи певно досі наспівують про тих, чиї голоси совєти не змогли заглушити – бо вони гучніше за все, що росіяни писали, пишуть і (не)напишуть.

The Slovo house is like a scar on the concrete heart of Kharkiv. A scar covered with plasters from insulation for renovated apartments with modern furniture. I can't imagine how can one live there now, because the walls, ceilings and stairs are probably still singing about the voices that the soviets were unable to silence - because they are louder than anything that russians have ever written, are writing and (will not) write.
An incredible documentary.
