i really resonated with a lot of Dykes, Camera, Action! - discovering lesbian cinema played suchhhhh an important role in me coming to terms with my sexuality and this film's exploration of its history was endlessly fascinating. the conversations these women were having about the importance of seeing our stories represented onscreen left me feeling so excited about what's to come (Desiree i'm looking at you, more pleasseeee).
also, watching this in a room packed with old lesbian couples has got to be one of the best theatre experiences i've ever had... seeing yourself in films is one thing, but being physically surrounded by a bunch of old dykes gave me something i could never get from a movie and made this viewing experience all the more enjoyable and inspiring. maybe it's all going to be okay???
