I did not expected this film to be depressing as shit. I thought it was really cute on in focuses on four character than aren't all humans but treat each other as family whilst being in a post-apocalyptic world, I like that concept. The comedy in the robot trying to "act human" is one of the most funniest things I've seen, he learned quite quick though. Tom Hanks gave a phenomenal performance and I did not expect Caleb Landry Jones to be the voice of the robot while being in this type of film after seeing him in Antiviral (2012) & Get Out (2017). That fucking ending, literal tears bruh. I've never felt this way ever since WALL-E. That story about how Tom Hanks got the dog was so sad, I would lowky do the same too. I was more offended when he said "YOUR JUST A MACHINE" towards the robot, that shit hurt me more like calm tf down. I'm happy that it isn't exactly one of those science fiction films where the robot starts to have "feelings" because in this one, he already does right when he was born. Which is also a reason why I gave it 3 stars since it seemed like the robot was too quick to understand human behavior and emotions. Like the intellectual capacity for the robot to want to go to the Golden Bridge and feeling excited to drive for the first time, like that ain't normal robot shit bruh. I do enjoy the fact that the idea is more unique but I wish it played more into how he feels that way. Finch is a sad, surprising, wholesome film that'll make people adopt more dogs
