Honestly, such an unexpectedly pleasant watch right after Happy-Go-Lucky. Both Poppy and Cluny have that same chaotic, "unbothered" energy that drives everyone around them absolutely insane, and I am here for it.

I suspect I am in the minority here, but for a Lubitsch romance I wanted more, more, more!!!

The characters are charming, the script is cracking, and the Lubitsch clownery is clowning, but it doesn’t all quite come together for me. Mr. Balinski and Cluny just weren’t together on screen enough for me to buy into them completely. Absolutely obsessed with the running gag tormenting the wet blanket chemist though - made me giggle every time!
