Rambo does Taken — oof. This one makes me wish they quit at 4.

Stallone is amazing, but the character of Rambo isn’t strong enough to carry a movie solely focused around his complex emotional state.  

Movie is choppy and too fast paced, feels like a Tony Scott film meets Pierre Morel but it doesn’t work.
3 separate montages of “prepping” was 2 too many.  

The violence was top notch as always, but the suspension of disbelief suffers when 1) you don’t need a passport or customs to travel between the US and Mexico, and 2) hospitals and police are apparently non-existent in Arizona

This definitely falls into the same category of The Predator (2018) in that I wouldn't care much for it if it weren't a Rambo movie, but this is better than The Predator and Predator is better than Rambo so I just don't know where I stand on it.

Also Sylvester Stallone has 2 franchises where his character's name begins with R and is the title of the movies, the ones in the 80s are teeming with propaganda, it peaks with the first one and the 5th one is definitely the worst

I was informed that this was the best out of all the Rambo, not sure if it lived up to that but it's pretty great. Rambo in a cowboy hat goes hard. Watching the film, I gotta say a Rambo film in this day and age of visuals would be so nice, it's crazy, Gosling could pull it of just look at Gray Man and Drive.
Idk if it was a game I would much rather play as an old man Rambo with a Winchester rather than a young one with a machine gun, he seems so scary and depressing. 4 stars

Rambo: Last Blood used to be my shit back in the day. But, now it’s not nearly as good as I remember. It turns out just really generic. But, there’s still a bit of positives. The action is really fun and bloody. I love how much gore this film brings. At the end when Rambo turns into, well Rambo again that is peak! The tunnel scene is one of the best action sequences I’ve ever watched. The Martinez brothers are threatening, scary, and realistic villains. This film is so nostalgic for me too. Unfortunately, that is where my positives end. The film looks really cheaply made, and has bad cinematography. Throughout of the film Rambo doesn’t really feel like Rambo. All of the side characters are just there to bring the plot forward, and bring nothing new to the table. Overall, an okay film probably because nostalgia blinds me.
