Hearing Kurosawa talk about John Ford’s influence on him is great and it makes a lot of the crowd scenes and landscape shots make a lot more sense in terms of why they were chosen to tell their stories. Hearing stories of what he was like on set, especially during The Hidden Fortress, was so much fun
