This was one of those few movies that actually got me to connect with its themes, in this case mortality and what one does in the face of the inevitable, so props for that.
But seriously, the dinosaurs did not die just from the asteroid. What really killed them was the ash and dust from the impact blocking off the sunlight for centuries, leading to mass starvation. It is completely unfathomable that an even bigger asteroid would kick up so little dust that it could all settle in a measly 9 months.
But other than that, really good movie
