watching french people talk about Cars 2 is so disorienting
normally can't be bothered to watch short films but anything with adèle haenel is worth watching. the dialogue felt really naturalistic but teetered on pretentious for the sake of it, which is why i thought the ending where they started fresh was super cute. what i think would have been REALLY cool to experiment with was script a longer film taking place over an hour-long take, watching their chemistry progress in real time, but that would require more time and budget to do obviously.
