Wow, I really enjoyed this one. 2067 is one of the better new-wave Sci-Fi (?) films - set in some god-forsaken future, with a weird plot, and dropped balls - I’ve seen to date.
Side note: yet another film within the past year that’s forced me to review the biblical teachings I grew up with from a different/new perspective.
Example: (spoiler alert)
Plot point - no hope for earth, mankind is evil, only the strong/chosen few should/will be allowed to survive.
Biblical teaching: Mankind is evil having cut themselves off from God. Only the chosen few (144,000 I think, plus anyone else who accepts Christ) will/should be saved.
This line of thought has been embedded within our cultural, societal, and religious DNA for centuries it would seem. “Let’s thin the heard and then we can (re)take our place among the Heavens and live like kings.” I don’t know whether to be sick or flabbergasted!
Sorry for you taking you to church for a sec. 😂 Just some food for thought.
