"Look at all those stars! Boy, I bet they're having a good time up there tonight. It looks like they're really living it up."
I can’t believe it’s already the end of the Summer. Tomorrow marks the first day of Autumn and while I’m so excited because Autumn is my favorite season, it’s means we’re closer to below freezing weather, which is not fun. With that being said, to celebrate the official last day of summer, I decided to watch It Was a Short Summer, Charlie Brown.
Why do Peppermint Patty and Lucy have to make Charlie’s life as miserable as possible. Charlie Brown may be only 8 years old, but I’m 18 and can still relate to him. Trying to make the best out of every situation you’re in, but it turns out being grueling is too relatable. All Charlie Brown wanted was to have a fun camp and win but even one loss ruins his whole morale. I love Charlie Brown because it’s not afraid to be painfully honest about life. It Was a Short Summer, Charlie Brown is an episode that really shows that.
This episode also gives us another incredible score from Vince Guaraldi and this trio. His jazz compositions are so great and it’s a soundtrack I can put on at any point in time. I’m looking at buying the blue vinyl of this soundtrack and grow my Vince Guaraldi soundtrack collection after already having Great Pumpkin and Christmas.
Soundtrack: 10/10
