He saw a woman hula-hooping with her neck and smoking a cigarette at the same time and instantly fell in love. Kinda real for that.
Had a nice time unwinding with this, high school days have officially finished (only exams left) and I didn't want to just jump straight into study again, that plus seeing that a friend rewatched God of Cookery reminded me I still needed to see this one.
I found that it lacks a tiny bit of the laugh-out-loud comedy which makes me love Stephen Chow's other films but its still funny enough to keep you interested and it substitutes that loss with some great dramatic moments. Might be recency bias but I think this is Stephen Chow's most enjoyable romance plotline (although they're hard to rank, I think the one in From Beijing With Love was also fun). Some strange and uncomfortable moments knock it down but it was an overall great time.
