What a ride this movie was!
The whole idea of your imaginary friend as a child actually being a homicidal demon is SCARY and something from many peoples worst nightmares.
The shots of Daniel looming in the background even when Luke wasn't the focus of a scene was hair raising and gave the impression of an ever lingering dread. Very much along the same lines as when you've done something wrong and get that pit in your stomach.
I also love how vague they were with why Daniel exists outside of the context of the movie: is he a metaphor for split personalities? Maybe the manifestation of intrusive thoughts?
Personally I am more behind the idea of Daniel/the demon being the manifestation of Luke's intrusive thoughts and what would happen should he give into them.
Overall this movie was a good watch, I feel like this movie definitely needs some more love!
