I gave this 5/10 because I liked two of the six vignettes and I thought everything was gorgeously shot. I liked the Tom Waits one (who I thought was Nick Nolte the whole time), and the wagon train one. And I liked Steven Root in the bank heist one. Vignette movies are just not my thing in general.
It seems wild to be at the end of this 10+ film watch though and realize the last true Coen Brothers movie was 10 years ago. The rumor is after Joel’s next one is out they will be back together for a horror movie. One can only hope!
And with that I have reached the unofficial end of my Unseen Coen Brothers watch-through. I do want to revisit Inside Llewyn Davis, and I may yet watch their solo work at some point.
