the fact this is a true story is pretty sad. good film i think the sub would be a 3.5-4 star but i watched the dub and its so shit.

On My Skin
An upsetting true story that runs pretty by-the-numbers for this type of material. I didn't know about this story so I'm glad I learned a bit through this, but I still struggle to say that I was passionate about much during it. The lead performance is pretty great and there's some good camerawork at times, however, the story doesn't really dive into aspects I wanted to know more about (primarily the before and after of this case feels very under-touched), and so it focuses on what winds up being the more repetitive aspects of this week. Part of that is likely by design, but it just didn't make for something that engaged me much. Overall I'm still glad I watched this, if primarily for the fact that I learned a bit about this tragic case and about the faults of a different justice system than my own.
