This is an all time classic and there is nothing you can say against it. The story is 10/10 and the acting is phenomenal. The music and sound design is so iconic, even the knife slash is iconic though I will admit it’s a tad goofy. The twist at the end is one of the greatest cinematic twists of all time. I don’t want to ruin it for anyone though so just watch it to see what happens. Bates is such a creep which makes him such an effective character and I love it. The story does have a very distinct first and second half, I did wish it was more a seemless flow between acts but that’s my only major complaint. I love this movie, a masterclass on how to write a psycho person. Will watch again.

My favorite Hitchcock film of all time. My favorite genre is Horror and this movie has laid out and inspired the blueprint for all slasher of the sorts. Brilliantly acted by Anthony Perkins (Norman Bates) does well at not showing his hand when people start poking around for the missing young lady, hes a schizo so he actually doesn’t think he did anything, dude really thinks it’s his momma. One of the best true jumpscares when the cop is snooping around the home. The closing statement by the doctor that analyzed Norman was brilliant. One of the most haunting closing images in all of cinema. Legendary A+
