I had mixed feelings about Relic. It's not a movie I loved, but I didn't dislike it either. It left me somewhere in between.

At times I felt genuinely sad, especially knowing the story revolves around aging and dementia. Anyone who has seen someone struggle with Alzheimer's can understand that quiet tragedy. I really felt bad for Edna. But at the same time, she was creepy as hell. The movie does a good job making you uncomfortable around her, even when you sympathize with her.

I didn't really connect with the family dynamic tho. It felt realistic in certain moments, but I felt like the story didn't always rely on logic. Some things just happened without enough explanation.

Visually, the cinematography is nice. The atmosphere is tense and unsettling. But honestly? I wouldn't call this a horror movie. It's creepy yes. It's uncomfortable. But it never truly felt scary to me. It's more psychological sadness than horror. I know people with gerascophobia are terrified tho lol.
