Ballerina is the best action movie since John Wick 4. I was not expecting it to be so damn good. This was an awesome underdog revenge origin story, which makes this stand out from the John Wick movies. Eve is shown to be not near the level of John Wick in this film, and you see this in her fighting style compared to his; she fights with more desperation because of her size disadvantage. You get some great background and buildup in the first half of the film, and in the second half, this film takes off into the stratosphere. Even in the first half, during the buildup, you're still getting awesome action fight scenes. I loved the way they expanded on the lore of the John Wick universe in this. The fight choreography was next level, especially in the hand-to-hand combat sequences. There were so many kills in this that were so creative, I was just in awe. Ana de Armas absolutely killed it as Eve Macarro. Ever since I saw her in No Time To Die, I knew we needed her in a film like this, and she did not disappoint. John Wick being in this film was a nice touch; he wasn't in too much of it to the point where it took away from Eve, which I appreciated. The ending was done in typical John Wick fashion as expected. I need a sequel now. I highly recommend you see this in the theater.

It’s always nice to know that John Wick is still the coolest person ever. I’m not really sure what to expect from this film but it is practically a copy and paste revenge story alike to John Wick.
The film serves its purpose as an effective and entertaining action film. The fight choreography is just as good as the other films, and the fight scenes are great. The story simply doesn’t feel fresh enough for me.
Ana De Armas does a fine job but it is laughable to see her stand next to Keanu Reeves. He is just on a whole other level.
Overall, a fine franchise film that does its job and will most likely get a sequel.
