One of the earliest pillars of Chinese action cinema, it is somewhat surprising how quaint the action here actually is. Despite this, the storytelling, mood, and general direction is very strong. It all feels instantly iconic, and you can see why it was such a big deal at the time

Shawscope Volume 3 finally went on sale for a decent amount so had to get it 😁😁
A decent time, not quite outlandish enough to keep my full attention though 😅 I much prefer martial arts films that get to high levels of ridiculousness, though this was fairly goofy with its sword grabby things 😆

C'était un gros nanard mais c'était fun

Honestly just lifeless with some cool moments and good music too 
Overall didn’t look great and didn’t flow at all and everything was dull 
THEN something cool would happen and then it went back to being meh 
There is so much potential with the one arm sword style stuff but they ltr didn’t tap into that at all and the reason he was doing well was just mostly to do with a shorter sword like it was not satisfying 
Less boring stuff and more training and some like corny montage or something would’ve gone a long long way instead it was comfortable being so flat with such a cool concept
