I’m trying to make a point to rewatch at least one movie a month because I have a horrible mindset that rewatching movies is a waste of time when I could’ve watched a new movie to further build up my watched list. This was one of the top movies I’ve been wanting to rewatch with this new initiative. Every time I come across it when I’m in my rankings, I take a pause and think about it. So much so that I’ve kind of built it up in my head that now that I’ve got hundreds of movies under my belt since the last time I saw it that I might appreciate it more… well, I don’t, my opinion is unchanged.
It’s got some absolutely fantastic visuals, but the plot lingers a bit too much for me and ultimately struggles to keep me engaged. I was a lot more aware and receptive to the themes of grief in the film, however. Cool flick, check it out
