Lost

a scrappy little thriller that works way better than you’d expect. dean cain really sells the panic of a regular guy spiraling after one bad choice, and his stressed-out performance is the main thing that keeps the movie tense. the micro-budget shows, but the desert setting and constant sense of being messed with actually make it feel more unsettling. it’s not perfect but some of the twists launded and it’s a tight, engaging ride that’s way more fun and atmospheric than its bare-bones setup suggests.

Season 2 Review:This show is so peak man. There are characters I love. There are characters I hate. This combination makes for an incredible piece of television. I’m loving this style of pulling the thread slowly revealing more and more of the big picture. Chad if you read this, watch this show. You are seriously missing out.

This is NOT a review for Lost, a film released in 2004 starring Danny Trejo. This IS a review for season one of the amazing show Lost. Very rarely has TV been able to capture my intrigue so much that I’m on the edge of my seat (and I don’t mean these 8 episode mini series). The last time I’ve been this invested in a show like this was the CW Flash seasons 1 and 2. Having heard J.J. Abram’s puzzle box philosophy, I see exactly what he’s building here and I love it. The mystery is genuinely excruciating in the best way. I don’t know if I’ve ever been more tempted to look up spoilers in my life. Anyways… watch lost. I think I’m gonna go watch season two now.

Completely random note: Leslie the Science Teacher deserved what he got for trying to make himself a main character.
