I was going to see this in 2011 and thought at first that would have hit more then, as a 15 year old but I’m glad I watched it now at almost 30 because it hit even harder. The themes of aging, what the future holds, the scarcities of not fulfilling your life goals, relationships fading or lasting, the idea that you’re running out of time when really it’s just getting started. God I couldn’t think of a better time for this film to come back to me. I love Miranda July she has such a way with humor and dealing with existentialism.
Also me af trying to crump/twerk it out to Beach House for a YouTube video. The dance school receptionist was giving hella Julia Fox.
I cried, I laughed, this deserves more love than it got. So much was fit into a 1:30 min runtime.
