Cute film, not the best but it has a good plot and it works in the end. Some parts were so unprofessional, the two guys who had the surf board of the son in the beginning didn’t know how to act and they kinda ruined it; the english of the japanese actors is obviously not the best but i think they did it on purpose to emphasise the fact that they were foreigners so it’s ok. Like always Nijiro is beautiful and i really liked his character and his friend, this beautiful friendship created with the woman and her trying new things on the island like “surfing” but especially talking with someone new after all these years. Some scenes were so low quality i don’t understand why, maybe they were trying to make the film a little bit more amateur but i didn’t really like them, they toned down too much with the professional style of the shots. Can’t say much, it was normal as a movie, I wasn't impressed that much but I still find it a different story from the others, I appreciated the fact that they didn't focus the story too much on surfing but more on the character of the mother, very often directors tend to forget about the subject and set it aside focusing on other so I appreciated that. Cute movie would recommend
