I reached 18 without knowing the plot of this film despite the 24 remakes.

I watched the Indonesian version years ago before this one, so I didn’t really expect much, especially since I wasn’t a big fan of the twist/alternate ending in that version. But somehow, this one hit different. The alternate ending still felt meaningful, so i let it go even tho i still hate this kind of twist
Overall, I definitely prefer this adaptation. The acting, the tension, and the dialogue were just stronger and more engaging, however, I do have a few mixed feelings. The story focuses a lot on 'cheating' which is fine, but it kind of overshadows the other conflicts. Every time a new issue pops up, it gets pushed aside pretty quickly for another affair. I also wished they talk more about perspective and feelings (like the panties problem) instead of just throwing tons of problems
