SOLID start to the most wonderful time of the year. i did a project on giallo last semester and this film was mentioned EVERYWHERE. for good reason! actually has a plot that is interesting along with the kills. just wastes no time and pulls no punches. gonna be controversial and say this is better than blood and black lace? sorry! it goes hard!!!

Bava kocht unfassbar mit der Kamera und der Stimmung hier. Die Morde sind alle ordentlich kreativ und zum Teil aberwitzig.
Einzelne Momente die Lynch vorwegnehmen, aber genauso viel langwieriger nonsense.
Zu wenig Bay, genug Blood.
Die Spanner-Kamera auf Brunhilde war mir definitiv zu lang, checke ich schon aber trotzdem unnötig. Geschmacksache.
Jaja und der Film hat slasher erfunden wow.

Not sure what I was expecting from this to be honest. A Bay of Blood is definitely a movie that I appreciate more than I enjoy

I do like the way that all of the characters are introduced one by one, it doesn’t ever feel like the movie just dumps them all on you at once. But I did kinda struggle with grasping some of the links between them as they were a little convoluted. The same goes for the motives as well, although some were pretty simple, others did get lost on me. At certain points I did get some of the links and motives muddled up. Maybe it would make more sense upon rewatch though (I do understand that this could just be a me issue)

On top of that the chain reaction that happened throughout was neat. Like you see a character kill someone, but then THAT killer then gets killed by someone else and it snowballs right up to the very end. Which by the way absolutely crazy ending, I don’t think I could’ve predicted that in a million years
