Lisa deserved better, but stupidly in love holds her back. Ang langit di naman mawawala yan so why not give this relationship one more chance. The acting saved the vague dialogue.

rewatched this again because i remember sobbing uncontrollably during film appreciation class. still a tear-jerker, but unfortunately underwritten.
“nestor alam mo kung bakit sigurado akong mahal kita? kasi araw-araw kitang pinili.”
it would have been better off if lisang and manolo didn’t end up together. it would have been more meaningful: that forgiveness could reach the dead. it’s not entirely the film’s fault, i think it’s mostly from this larger cultural phenomenon where we yearn for that one person to be our endgame even though the connection is past it’s expiration date.
the dialogue could be better, i know they were going for the bickering rom-com style but it just didn't hit the mark most of the time. there were so many pauses in between lines i couldn’t help but think if it was my wi-fi bugging out.
overall still a good watch ! (´ ˘ `)
