Me han estafado con esto.

La premisa es que de repente aparece otra tierra que es igual que la nuestra. Parece interesante. Pero claro tu vas viendo la película pasan y pasan los minutos hasta que te la acabas y te das cuenta que la segunda tierra no aporta absolutamente nada a la trama. Es como si fuese un extra, de vez en cuando hablan de eso pero no afecta en nada.
Ojo porque la historia me ha gustado. Pero esto no tiene nada ciencia-ficción. Es una película normal con un elemento de fondo que le da misticismo.
Encima al final te la intenta colar pero que no tio.

Thought provoking movie that made is sad to watch

Seriously incredible. Mike Cahill is an absolute genius. However this is sadly let down by William Mapother’s acting… like he can’t be angry it just doesn’t suit him. However Brit Marling is absolutely incredible just as she was in I-origins. However you can feel the low budget in this sadly, a bigger budget and this would’ve been a 5* definitely

this is a connor type of movie (thanks letterboxd for the 'based on the films you've liked' rec)

shot focused, dramatic, sci-fi, moving, grounded yet existential, etc. etc.

the half star gone is for the bad acting imo by John in the murder mystery reveal and the abrupt sex scene that seemed a tad forced, OTHERWISE the creativity of shots like when Rhoda walks up to the toy robot and it gives a side perspective from the view of the incident and her side of the telephone pole is blackened and dark and the one next to it filling up empty space i.e. those killed and lost or her guilt holding her from moving forward in life all in all might be one of my favorite shots in a film ever.

Despite some lovely flare this just didn’t hit for me. Cinematography, colour grading and some plot elements (she’s 21!) were unfortunately distracting.
