Yes!! This is SO much better than The Dark Night of the Scarecrow (1981), weird how similar the names are. This is what I was expecting that movie to be and I’m so satisfied to finally get a proper scarecrow slasher.
Absolutely love the design of the scarecrow, his look, his voice, his personality and his mannerisms are all so awesome. The plot is pretty cool too although I wish the backstory was conveyed in a different way than a basic flashback, also felt like some things were left unanswered, still the ending was amazing.
Other than that the only thing that annoyed me was too many off screen kills, the kills we got to see were great though and had fun brutality and some good body horror moments.
I just had a blast every time the scarecrow was on screen and evil spirits coming out of a ravine in the ground is literally what Halloween is all about!
