The main criticism seems to be that people have a hard time following the story or understanding what is going on. That I do not understand, it is all explained to you, if you pay attention to the prophecy and the character's role in it.
Technically and acting-wise wise this is pretty great, and the story is something new and pretty cool. My main issue is, the tone too often goes from horror-ish to kinda chirpy. Something many of the "newer" (especially netflix) korean movies struggle with, like you don't have to give it a little K-drama flair, go all out on the grit.Also, some, if not all, of the straight-up horror scenes could be left out, and it would not matter. The interesting thing is the investigation of the cult and mystery.
