Chat I'm ngl, I thought this one was a little empty. An interesting premise with good performances, but I didn't think it had all that much to really say.
I see a lot of people talking about the depth of characters, the teen angst, etc. and I didn't really get any of it. I just saw a rather shallow dive into the lengths one would go to protect their family.
I want to say it would've benefitted from some added "complexity" of its characters, but it sounds rather vague and almost as if im talking outta my ass. Truth be told, I just would've liked to have seen some stuff to add credence to the state of mind that would drive our MC to do what he did. Sure, abuse is NOT poggers, but the typical angsty teen does not jump to wanting to commit the "perfect murder" unless there's some other driving force, even if it's as basic as a love for the macabre. I dunno, I just felt like the bones here were good, but the meat was really lacking.
I do love me some Pink Floyd though.
