There is a lot going on in this one and I’m just sitting with it still, but off the bat it very much is like an allegory of girlhood/childhood and the process of growing older but also the resistance to it. the cop figure is representative of patriarchal ideals pushing its way into the lives of girls and women as this omniscient thing that once it is in your life and once you are made aware of it at a certain age, it never leaves, it’s this thing that’s always there.
