Is it the worst in the trilogy, yes. Do I still absolutely love it, also yes. It’s still a banger just not as good as the first two. It does struggle a bit more when it comes to pacing, definitely a lot more time is spent on Parker’s romance instead of Spider-Man saving New York. I will say, all Spider-Man movies have such amazing villains, Venom, Sandman, the new goblin, Mary Jane. What a villain lineup for one movie. The dancing emo Peter Parker was weird but funny, it wasn’t supposed to be funny but it was. The music was so good though, like it’s still iconic to this day. I love this movie, will watch again.

7.8/10 God Bully Maguire is just so good. This is probably my third or fourth rewatch of this and it is my least rewatched of the trilogy. Out of the Raimi films this is my least favorite one. But it’s highs are so high. This movie gets hated on for the comedy which I can get but I absolutely love it. The Bully Maguire scenes are just so iconic and fun. Like the emotional beats in this movie are missed as they tend to go to comedy more but we still do get some good emotional beats. Especially with MJ and Peters relationship. Man MJ just pisses me off extra in this movie. I honestly didn’t remember anything from this movie other than the villains and symbiote storyline.  Now for the lows of the movie which mainly stem from how over bloated the movie is. Especially villain wise because man that’s where this movie messed up. They should’ve stayed with just the Goblin and Sandman storyline. Which I mean it probably would’ve been over bloated to but not nearly as much as how it was with 3 villains. Venom is my favorite Spider-Man villain through the comics to the TV shows but in this movie Venom just sucks. And Venom really takes away from Sandman’s storyline in the movie. Sandman absolutely rocked and sucks he was basically sidelined in the third act for this terrible depiction of Venom. See I did like Eddie Brock but when he became Venom the movie fell apart. Also Harry being sidelined in this movie when I felt he should’ve been the main character just absolutely sucked. Same thing with Aunt May whose amount of scenes in this movie I can count with one hand. Now that i got the criticisms out the way I want to talk about the highs. I mean the symbiote Spider-Man suit is some of the best thing we have ever seen Spider-Man wise. That suit is just perfect and the aura just oozes through my screen. Everyone dislikes the comedy in this movie but it honestly is one of the redeeming things I look for when I watch this. Is it stupid? Yes. Is it also amazing? Yes. And again Sandman was great here and I just wish we got him more because that terrible Venom depiction took tons of his screen time. Overall I do think Sony ruined maybe the best movie Raimi made in the trilogy by being money hungry for Venom. Still a really good movie but could’ve been so much better.

When I watched this a few years ago I really liked it, but watching it again years later really makes you realize how awful this movie is.
