I think it’s still too early in my dive into Lang’s filmography to make any strong statements, but Secret Beyond the Door might just be Lang’s most stunning film from a cinematic standpoint. So many shots that took my breath away. And going even beyond its stellar cinematography, we get an engaging love story that slowly begins to turn sour, in classic noir fashion. A plot twist that’ll leave your jaw on the floor, Secret Beyond the Door is mesmerizing.

gonna be real to mark if a woman that beautiful greeted me at the door after our wedding with the words "do you want me to carry you over the threshold" i would not be trying to murder her you CANNOT give that up!! incredibly well-shot, insanely edited, and bizarre that the whole "buying murder rooms" only gets introduced like halfway through the movie. buying murder rooms seems like a big component of this guy's life

Trying to reason with your woman hating husband with murderous inclinations?? And trying to save him using Freudian theory?? And at then end he gets miraculously "cured"? It's a no from me. I really wanted to love this! It had a lot of potential, Joan Bennett was perfection as usual and the visuals are breathtaking. Sadly, the ending was horrendous and unforgivable.
