Suitably cheesy (zing) & gnarly as all hell, Mad Heidi is a bonkers little slice of B movie exploitation goodness. The effects are rad, some of the kills are laugh out loud funny & it’s all very impressive on a crowdfunded budget.
But I couldn’t help but think it wasn’t quite what it could have been. I know budgetary restrictions could hold it back but I wished for something just a little bit more. And in the same year that Sisu released, which arguably does this same story (kind of) better, Mad Heidi just doesn’t hold its own.
