Apparently somewhere between The Revenant and Dirty Dancing lies an astounding piece of art.
There’s a lot to appreciate in this film. Beautiful cinematography and some of the most noteworthy sound mixing I’ve heard. It’s patient, but it never drags. There were a lot of super interesting shots that depicted both peace and violence at the same time, highlighting the balance of nature. Although I do think that I appreciated this movie more than I really enjoyed it. I wasn’t really crazy about the narrative style, as it felt that it lacked purpose occasionally. But the technical aspects of the film were enough to keep me hooked.
