After Helter Skelter, I didn’t think I was going to like this as much. This was at a level of weirdness where it was extremely enjoyable. Every frame of this film is like bizarre painting but in the best way possible. There are some pacing problems but overall the choice to have a sense of endangerment rather than throwing action into the ring constantly was a great choice. There wasn’t really any deep dive into the lives of these characters but there wasn’t any need because the directing is so damn good. Visually this film is amazing but its visuals doesn’t carry, it allows the actors and actresses to build some character. The resolution has its flaws but the action sequence is awesome. There’s also common troupes that happen but most of them are done well so it doesn’t bother me. This film was a huge surprise, I’ve been underwhelmed many times and this didn’t disappoint.
