Vietnamese Take(n) out, served lukewarm.
Furie is much like many revenge-fueled action films you've seen since the early 2010s, with the twist being that you aren't emotionally invested in any of these characters. It's hard to root for a debt collector with mob ties. It is refreshing to see a woman in both the protagonist and antagonist roles in a movie with this kind of language, but I feel it could have been better executed.
A lot of the action sequences are well-done, but the moments in-between leave a lot to be desired. You never really feel the weight of this woman's connection to her daughter, and often you come to dislike her for the way she treats her own family. There is a redemption arc in her rescue effort, but it never really stuck with me. If you love high-octane fight scenes, this may be for you. It just unfortunately wasn't for me.
