Gi Joe: Snake Eyes: 3 stars
Genuinely Not that bad of a film.
Henry Golding is such an underappreciated actor.
Such a shame we never got a full Gi Joe Trilogy or franchise based from this film.
If not for the original origin story of Snake Eyes being decently great, the film's origin story might have been decent. I really like the overall story and aesthetic, though the idea of the villain using dices to determine his victim's fate is such a dumb idea, but the concept of from that he receives the titular name of Snake Eyes wasn't that bad. I still don't know why the film failed, it would have been interesting to see a Henry Golding led GI Joe Trilogy with a cast that actually respects the source material and are genuinely excited to be apart of a fun franchise.
