Fathers, sons, husbands, wives, and war. -Colin Morgan's performance was out of this world. When the realization hits him and he turns full front and we see those tears run down his face and the crescendoing of his anger I gasped. Not to mention the ending scene of him on his knees infront of his mother and wailing. Each character having drawn out very dramatic and emotional monologues helped shape their evolving personality. I am not a thespian or theatre nerd, but it was thoroughly enjoyable to see a historic drama based on a nonfiction event (world war 2). It was also amazing seeing Sally Field as she is a great actress and truly shone here playing a grieving and in denial mother.
