On one hand i can see the merit in Breillat's vision here and feel like this is a very offbeat, unique, and frankly devastating film
On the other hand, that ending is a gotcha moment, I don't care what reasoning she had or how intentional it was. It was shock value for shock value's sake, and it kinda diminished what I feel like I could have taken away from the movie if it ended in a more subtly written ending.
Anyways, left this disturbed but also very intrigued about her filmography and learning more about her so... net positive?
