I watched it with a friend, and horror movies always make us laugh more than anything else, so I ended up having a pretty good time — just not for the reasons the film intended.

I love Elisabeth Moss, so I was happy to see her, and I had no idea Storm Reid was in it, which was a nice surprise.

That being said… I can’t help but feel a little bad that Elisabeth Moss keeps getting cast as women suffering because of terrible men. At this point, she deserves a role where she just gets to chill for once — no invisible psychopaths, just peace and quiet.

The Invisible Man took a very different turn compared with what I was expecting, but I still found it to be a good psychological horror film. I'll admit that I didn't anticipate the various plot twists, and the ending was very satisfying, but what really impressed me was Elizabeth Moss' performance; her acting was steeped in realism and the effects of domestic abuse was clear in the smallest mannerisms of Cecilia. A very creepy and disconcerting film, perfect for Spooktober.
