Peter was right about "Can’t Slow Down" by Lionel Richie, I felt the same exact way.
Let me set the scene for you, it’s Lois’s birthday and the family are having a nice family dinner at a very fancy restaurant. By the looks of it, the family has already eaten the cake, so now it’s time for Lois to open her beloved family’s gifts, which are sure to be wonderful. Little did she know, her husband would give her the greatest gift of all, "Can’t Slow Down" by Lionel Ritchie. Chris and Meg give their mother their gift and it’s a smokers tooth polish. Lois picks the gift up with a confused expression on her face, yet she is still appreciative. Then, the moment of truth happens, Peter gives her the most extraordinary gift of all time. Lois unwraps said gift and holds the CD in her hand.
"Lionel Ritchie's ‘Can’t Slow Down’?" She asks.
Peter's eyes light up and he begins to tell his wonderful story that I and many other people can relate to.
"Great album Lois, great album. I didn’t know who I was until I heard this album."
We cut to Peter in his bedroom, looking sad, yet moved at the same time.
Peter is listening to "Hello", one of Richie’s best songs on a Sony Walkman.
"Oh god, Lionel. You have been hurt. You have been hurt by somebody, that much is clear. Who hurt you? Who hurt you? Who hurt you? Who hurt you?"
This is the greatest scene in any medium, whether it be film, TV, or book. Completely life changing.
