A thriller by Na Hong-jin. My expectations for this film were sky-high after watching "The Wailing". The movie starts off very slowly, but the last act pretty much saves it. The 2-hour-16-minute cut contains large chunks of unnecessary segments . The main reason I watched this film was for the director, Na Hong-jin. Some of the characters are poorly written, in my opinion. At the end of the day, this ranks as one of the weaker Korean films I’ve seen (not saying it’s bad), and I’ve definitely seen better—even from the same director.
