Gave the Rifftrax a whirl and it definitely helps gloss over the slower/stupider bits.

Supposedly the director said this was the best Xtro movie? It was fun, with beers.

This is very horrible but so much more fun and enjoyable than many of the predator films even though this is very clearly a rip-off. I wish more cheap science fiction and horror films used practical fx. While the puppetry and creature design in this aren’t the best but I prefer bad practical fx to the garbage cg the modern day knock-off movie use. Give this a watch if you are on drugs or want a good laugh!

This is not good. Where 2 kinda hit the sci-fi/action/horror junk food angle I'm readily willing to indulge, this is low for even that sort of thing. The alien puppets are fun. It's disjointed - not in the nightmare-logic way the original is but in the "Oh, they're over there now. Ah, the aliens can do that. Wait, which one is that guy?" way. There's some real goofy stuff but it meanders a little too much to be all that enjoyable. Probably the worst "marines" committed to film.
