9/10 big time surprise. The movie may be a little slow but just stick through it because that third act was amazing. The plot of this movie was genuinely so cool. And the setting of this movie going from modern London to London in the 60s was just awesome and executed masterfully. I thought going into the movie I had an idea of the plot which would be some type of horror but around close to the 45 minute mark I thought I was wrong. But I was not especially the last 40 or so minutes you realize this is definitely a horror movie. I wouldn’t say straight horror but it was psychological horror definitely. Anya Taylor Joy and Matt Smith do hard carry the rest of the cast acting wise. But the others do hold their own at points. And man i’m sorry but Anya Taylor Joy’s face card is so unique but lethal. Now to get to my critiques. The actress of Eloise Thomasin McKenzie just doesn’t do it for me in some scenes. And those scenes are the ones where she just whispers her lines which heavily irritates me. And other than the scenes in the 60s the whole Eloise getting bullied storyline didn’t really work for me just sort of bored me. Though the romance was welly done between Eloise and John. Also the cinematography was honestly amazing and just something I didn’t expect here. And that dance scene was honestly one of my favorite scenes ever. It was just so cool to watch and even cooler knowing it was all done practical. Overall this movie was an amazing surprise and if you love psychological horror like me you will definitely love this.

I'm not going to prison. I've been in a prison all my life.Damn, Ellie you're a bit crazy. Get some help girlie. Being this nostalgic for a time she haven't even lived in.. Which I kinda relate to.. Anyway, Anya nailed her scenes so perfectly. The movie's such a vibe at least the scenes Anya's in.
