I enjoyed the filming style and as I watch every best picture winner in order this definitely started to feel more modern but I didn’t care for the story or any of the characters. Idk maybe I’m too American for this humor but I didn’t laugh as much as the film clearly wanted me to, it was just blah and went on too long.

I just know there was roughly a dozen directors that released movies in 1962 that wished they would’ve waited a year to release them. They would’ve had a legit shot at being a Best Picture winner seeing as how this won.
