The Escape Artist
Did not love this on first watch, but the more I think about it the more interested I become with it. It’s 24 hours later and all I want to do is rewatch this subtle flick that refuses to leave you satisfied. Is it coming-of-age? Is it The Prestige? Is it a revenge drama? It’s kind of nothing. But that is maybe the point? Again can’t stop wondering about it. Oh and however inaccessible the rest is, that safecracking scene was cinematic, light-painting, suspenseful art.

raul julia is so fine in this movie its out of this world
"I am a good boy dad. He's a good boy too. You're a bad boy"

Some side notes as well
•This movie is solid but it really isnt the best. Not a very good script in my opinion
• The plot can get confusing as it appears to be not as well thought.

For raul julia i give it this rating.
(also Raul interacts with Jackie Coogan and this is significant because this is 9 years before staring with Christopher Lloyd so he worked with two Uncle Festers.)
