I think I found my newest least favorite Hitchcock movie. That doesn't mean that this movie is bad in any way, it's just that it feels the least amount like a Hitchcock movie. First thing first, I think it is universally agreed upon that Julie Andrews and Paul Newman have absolutely zero chemistry in this movie and it's very showing throughout the film. Secondly, there's just some aspects of this film that really makes this movie feel super long and just have things in it that doesn't make any sense as to why it's there. For example, the Polish woman, why the fuck was she in this movie because her entire sequence was so boring and so not needed and just made a simple sequence become something so dumb and annoying. I do think Hitchcock still has his amazing use of suspense in this movie and it really had me at the edge of my seat at some points being excited to know what's going to happen next. Lastly, fuck that woman on the bus, she was so annoying and I'm so glad that she got off.
Rating: mid-high 7/10
Ranking: #850/1,984
849 - Never Let Go (2024)
850 - Torn Curtain (1966)
851 - The Fighter (2010)
